Another calm and scenic place of interest lies nearby called Khunkoot Dam. A small lake surrounded by dense forest and green hills. Hundreds of years ago the King of this land maharaja Krishnachandra Mardaraja built one WatchTowerjust in the middle of the lake, protruding out of the water. It is said that, his majesty was a sharp hunter of games and this was recognized by Britishers also. This three storied tower is an evidence of architectural excellance and royal history. This beautiful landscape surrounded by few tribal villages carries the legacy of the forgotten kingdom and still reflect the glorious past with haunting!
