We just completed a family trip to this resort and stayed for 3 nights. You will find 5 star to 1 star reviews of this resort in Google. We had... read more a mixed experience. POSITIVEs 1. Location: it is beautifully located at the foothills at Panchalingeswar. The resort has a nice garden with lots of flowers and a good view from resort. You can enjoy nature and solitude here. 2. Package: they arrange trips to nearby areas and everything was hassle free. They are really good in transportation part. Even they took us to a far off beautiful place called Bhimkund which was not in our itinerary. 3. The owner Manoranjan Das is a nice gentlemen, an enviornmentalist and social worker and kept all his commitments of the package. 4. Service persons like Somnath babu are very caring and try their best within their limitations. NEGATIVES 1. Food: lacks variety and they would give you the same food everyday. You may get bored if on 4 days 3 nights trip. But the food quality is good/average (but bit oily). 2. Rooms: very small. No proper view. Poor lighting. The room provided to us accumulated water after rains and had to be cleaned everytime by service staff. 3. Everything here is very basic. Anyone looking for luxury or comfort will be grossly disappointed. No scope of proper room service. 4. TV was not working. ACs work only when electric current is there. Other time a single blub and fan work on solar power. Mobile network is poor. No wifi. Those going there, go with a mindset that you are going to a homestay with basic facilities amidst nature. Go with low expectations and you will not be disappointed.

The resort is in a big... read more stretch of land and has plenty of rooms in it, including cottages - most of t hem are Air-Conditioned. It is remarkably clean and very well decorated with trees and flowering plants. Rooms are spacious with all essential amenities - including water heater. Washrooms are clean and rooms well maintained. Food is absolutely great !! It is a great place for family as well, you get enough space within the campus to roam around. Location is great.. just situated besides the Panchalingeswar hill. It is also very near to Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary. Owner, Mr. Manaranjan Das, is himself a wildlife enthusiast and quite knowledgeable. He is also a bird photographer and a guide. The sole purpose of our trip was birding. We were a group of 5 people and had Manoranjan Das as our guide in both the weekends. Could manage to spot quite a few variety of birds - some of which are very rare to see. Overall experience was very good and that was evident from the fact that we visited there in consecutive weekends. I would like to go there again. 🙂
